What the industry is saying

“The British Flue & Chimney Manufacturers Association (BFCMA) is pleased to support the development of NVQ qualifications for chimney sweeps. It is important that chimney sweeps have a formal, recognised qualification. This will give the public, the wider industry and government departments the confidence that chimneys are being swept and inspected by individuals who know what to look for in a well performing chimney and appliance. The correct burning of fuel in an efficient appliance and a clean chimney will significantly reduce the emission of particulates. “
